There are currently over 600 pages on the
site which are included in the Complete Site
search. If you want to refine your search to the pages concerned with, say,
only travel information and photographs, then untick the
Complete Site and tick the Travel info/Photos
check-boxes in
the "Which parts of the site to search" section above. This may be
helpful if you are getting a lot of results for your search word(s). You can, if you wish,
tick boxes for more than one part of the site to search within if you don't have Complete Site
ticked.
If you don't get a result with one word, try
another spelling - Asian place names in particular (example: Kolkata/
Calcutta) can
have various spellings, and this search tool does not - unlike Google -
offer alternative spellings to your search term.
"the, "a/an", "and," "or" and similar words are
very common and are excluded from the search engine database. When using
Exact Phrase search, however, it is
important to include all words in the particular phrase you are searching
for.
If you want to search for an exact phrase, select Exact Phrase from the "What
to include" radio buttons. This works the same as enclosing your words
in inverted commas as you might search for the complete phrase on a search engine
such as Google. The tokezone search tool will then only return
results where the words you have entered occur together in
the exact order of your phrase (example: you select
Exact Phrase and type the words cooking with cannabis. The
results include a page containing the text, if you
don't wish to inhale, trycooking with cannabis). If you keep the default choice
All Words, the search tool will find any pages
which include all of those words, although not necessarily occurring
together or in the order you have entered them (example:
cannabisconsumption is best not mixedwith
cooking). If you search using inverted
commas around your terms (example: "travel in India"), you will probably get no results. Use the
Exact Phrase option!
The search tool is case-INsensitive: LEH is the
same as leh or Leh.
The most relevant pages will always be towards the top of the list, if
you get a lot of results returned.
If you don't get any results, try using fewer
words, and select Any Words
from the "What to include" options.
You can search for a
page title (pompitous or download) by selecting the option
Title
instead of All The Text in "Where to search,"
or search each page's keywords (the meta-tag words which are invisible to
the normal user, but read by search engines such as Google) by selecting
Keywords. Not all of the keywords are unique to
a particular page, however, and some pages will have content not included in the
keywords.
If you encounter a problem finding a particular page
which you know is on the site (listed as existing on the tokezone.net
site by an online search engine), please contact me
here.
